Redesigning my blog with Codex

I recently redesigned my personal blog, and I used Codex as my creative and technical partner throughout the process. It turned into a much better experience than I expected. Instead of staring at an empty canvas, I could move quickly, test ideas, and keep momentum.

A smoother start

The first thing that surprised me was how fast I could get a fresh layout on the screen. Codex helped me replace the old Bootstrap-heavy look with a new visual system: better typography, a warmer color palette, and a more editorial layout. It felt modern without losing the personal feeling of a blog.

Better decisions, faster iterations

The collaboration felt like a real pairing session. I asked for tweaks, Codex shipped changes, and I could immediately see the results. That feedback loop made it easy to refine details like active navigation states, banner composition, and spacing. Small adjustments took minutes instead of hours.

The outcome

The blog now feels more intentional. The header, hero, post cards, and detail page work together instead of feeling like separate pieces. Even the small touches like button styles and tag pills add consistency. Most importantly, the site feels like me.

What I learned

Working with Codex reminded me that good design is not about one big idea; it is about a series of small, thoughtful choices. Having a tool that can move quickly and stay in conversation with me made those choices easier to explore.

If you are thinking about redesigning a personal project, I would absolutely recommend trying this approach. The combination of clear direction from me and fast execution from Codex made the process enjoyable and productive.
